Red petals float down diagonally to create visual movement and lines

Cupcake Circus

For a friend's son's third birthday, I put together a number of cupcakes in a circus type theme, from the book, Hello, Cupcake! Unfortunately, there isn't a photo of the assembled cupcake tree, but here are the layers disassembled: poodles, lions, and clowns.

Christmas Cookies!

• christmas tree with dragees and sparkle "tinsel"

Baby Boy Christening Cupcakes

• Almond-vanilla blue buttercream
• Vanilla bean cake (with real vanilla bean paste)
• Marshmallow fondant cutout toppers

Noah's Ark Christening Cake

• Four layers of vanilla bean cake with swiss chocolate buttercream icing, on top of a layer of rice krispy treats for stability
• Marshmallow fondant covering, with wood-grain made with cocoa powder mixed with bailey's liqueur, and a toothpick
• All figurines are made with marshmallow fondant but for the animal crackers encircling the ark
• Three shades of buttercream icing create more realistic "water" around the ark

S.E.'s Wedding Favors

Large-sized cookie hearts in ivory with hunter green accents, and medium-sized cookie hearts with large sugar crystals on dusty rose icing were put in each favor bag. The plaid cookies were made with extra cookies and icing for the reception's cookie table.
